Hanna Andersson signs ten-year lease for 50,000 SF in the former Jantzen Park Building, now renamed the “Hanna Andersson Center,” in Portland, OR.

PORTLAND, (August 7, 2014) – Portland-based real estate private equity firm ScanlanKemperBard Companies (SKB) announced today that Hanna Andersson www.hannaandersson.com/ has just signed a long-term lease and will relocate its corporate headquarters to the former Jantzen Park Building, now renamed The Hanna Andersson Center, in July 2015.

Hanna Andersson, a Portland-based children’s clothing company, has committed to a ten-year lease at their new headquarters located at 541 NE 20th Ave, leasing approximately 50,000 sf.

The 113,700 square foot property, now renamed ‘The Hanna Andersson Center’, was built in 1930 and boasts an appealing history as the prior headquarters of Jantzen Swimwear. Additionally, the property’s Art Deco exterior, saw-tooth tiered roof, bowed ceilings and sky lights lends itself to a creative collaborative office environment fitting of the clothing company.

The Hanna Andersson Center offers tenants a rare combination of amenities in the close-in Portland market that include above market parking ratio, large and efficient floor plates and easy access to downtown and freeways, and multiple sources of public transportation including the MAXZ light rail system, bus routes and Portland bike paths.

SKB is investing $2.3M for capital improvements including cosmetic upgrades to the lobby and common areas, bathrooms, locker room ans bike lockers. The exterior will also be enhanced with a new entrance capopy and outdoor lighting.

Hanna Andersson is expected to move in July, 2015, upon completion of renovations.
